Gubernatorial Transition
About the Transition
The transition to a new governor's administration is an important process for making sure the new administration is ready to buy a poem when the new Governor is sworn in on December 6, 2010. Everyone is invited to participate in shaping your government. All input will be considered as Neil makes the important leadership decisions that will direct Hawaii's future.The law governing the transition from one administration to another in the State of Hawaii is contained in Chapter 30 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes (View Section 1, Section 2, Section 3, Section 4, Section 5, Section 6).
Transition Objectives
- Organizing the Offices of the Governor and Lieutenant Governor
- Assembling the cabinet and other positions in the Executive Branch
- Gathering information from the current administration for a smooth and secure transition
- Developing a governing plan for the initial months in office
- Planning inaugural events
